A Plugin Marketplace and Labs Section
I think the most useful addition would be a plugin system, maybe with a Labs section where people can easily browse, install, and enable community-made plugins. That would let users add features without making the core app feel bloated, while also showing you which ideas people actually want. If plugins are file-based, they should be fairly easy for users to install themselves, and the most popular, well-tested ones could eventually become official features. Some examples could be layers, grids and measurements, smarter diagrams, reusable objects, presentation mode, better drawing tools, tables, richer export options, widgets, Kanban boards, timelines, and 3D viewers, Scenes / saved canvas views, just to name a few.
UX Polish: Sticky/stacked elements

youtube player: pasting a youtube link shows its open graph preview card, I would love to have the video inline. Although this does not play nice with user gestures, with the iframe taking over, so I get why you would not do that.

video files playing inline. That's where using a canvas becomes a pain. But it would be really nice if you could play videos inline in the canvas. We ended up using html for the canvas, not an actual canvas tag, precisely for this reason. This opens up a whole set of other issues regarding performances. But looking at TLDraw showed us this was doable, so we did.

There is one feature I'd love you to look into which would be allowing for images to be embedded from current local file paths. Few things after first day
Hi, I have a few things that I find inconvenient or that seem to be buggy. Mac: The first thing is the lack of pressure sensitivity support for graphics tablets. Milanote and other apps support this. Also, for example, OneNote automatically detects the pen as soon as I bring it close to the display. iPhone: The option to resize elements using the pinch gesture. Especially when drawing elements, it can be difficult to hit the resize handles precisely in the mobile version. Maybe the resize hit area could be made a bit larger? If I tap “Duplicate” several times and then undo the changes, a large “New Elements” panel appears with a list of things such as the duplicated image. I’m unable to close it. It also seems like these elements are actually being created on the disk, because they are named as copies (1), (2), etc., instead of being removed. To get rid of them, I had to drag all of them onto the board and then delete them manually. General bugs: After launching the app, it takes a while for synchronization to start. It takes around 20 seconds before files start loading. When I return to the app after, for example, 20 minutes, I have to wait a long time for everything to load again. It seems like it would be more convenient if synchronization started immediately when opening the app, rather than after a delay. Ideas: An option to set the synchronization frequency in the settings. I have the impression that my board is uploaded to iCloud quite rarely. It would be nice if, for example, YouTube videos had a preview and could be played directly inside the tile within the app. Customizable controls. I imagine many people are used to different controls for things like selecting objects or moving around the canvas. The ability to add project/company colors, similar to Canva. Currently, I have to add an element, set its color, and then use the eyedropper to pick that color whenever I need it. A dashed line option? I don't see one at the moment, and it would be very useful for moodboards. Maybe some kind of synchronization icon in the corner? It's only my first day using the app, but I really like it so far! Good luck with the development!

Font Customization in To-Do Lists
It would be great to have the font customization options available in the to-do lists as well. Since font customization has now been added to the app, it would be really useful to be able to apply different fonts there too, instead of being limited to a single font. I think this would make the to-do lists feel much more consistent with the rest of the app and allow for more personalization.

UX Basics: Link card interopererability on copy/paste
In Allume, I can select several link cards, copy them and paste in an external text editor and all links are pasted as: http://linkone.com http://linktwo.com http://linkthree.com Since I can so easily get all those links out of Allume, I’m not afraid to use Allume for some visual bookmarking, research, dashboards... There is no threat of being locked in. And so my love for its ease of use is what keeps me hooked. However, Allume makes a mistake. If I want to do it the other way around: grab a list of links from a text editor and paste them all as cards on the canvas in one go, it pastes them as plain text. Even if there is no other text than URLs. The pattern of one link per line is not hard to programatically detect. It would be nice to be able to grab a bunch of links from our bookmarking tools, our notetaking apps, etc. and paste them on the canvas knowing it will just work.

Improve locking on mobile iOS.
The lock icon does not actually lock the object. When navigating the Canvas if I hold my finger down over a “locked” object when navigating, it grabs and moves the locked object. I am still able to double tap into and edit a locked object. I would like to request a “lock all” button for the Canvas as well. Thank you for your work on this.

I would really appreciate a feature that allows users to copy the original image to the system clipboard. Currently, when an image is copied from the canvas, visualOS appears to place internal data on the clipboard for duplicating the element within visualOS. This works well for working inside visualOS, but it limits how easily images can be used with other applications. If there were a separate “Copy Original Image” option that copied the actual original image to the system clipboard—at its original resolution and quality—it would greatly expand what visualOS can be used for. For example, I could find an image visually on the canvas, copy it, and immediately paste it into Photoshop, Procreate, or another application. It would also work naturally with Apple’s Universal Clipboard, allowing an image copied on the Mac to be pasted directly into an app on the iPad. This feature would be especially valuable to me because it would turn visualOS into more than just an infinite canvas. It could become a kind of visual file-storage canvas: a place where I can organize and store large numbers of images spatially, then retrieve the original image whenever I need it. Instead of searching through folders and filenames, the workflow could simply be: Find visually on the canvas → select → copy original image → paste into another app. That would connect visual organization and actual production work into one seamless workflow. I think this relatively simple capability could significantly expand the usefulness of visualOS, turning it from an idea-organizing canvas into a powerful workspace for storing, organizing, and reusing visual assets. For my workflow, this would add tremendous long-term value to the application. Thabk you.
UX Basics: Spacebar to open image(s) in Preview
In Freeform and many other Mac apps, when you press the spacebar it opens the selected object in Preview. If you have several images selected, then Preview will show left/right arrows at the top left allowing you to cycle through all the images you are Previewing. If you have several similar images in a moodboard and you want to quickly flip between them because you have to choose one for a project, this helps you compare them.
Keep list items when a Japanese or Chinese entry is confirmed
In Notes, when I select a bulleted list (“•”) or numbered list (“1.”) and start typing in Japanese, the bullet or number disappears. I don’t think this happens when typing in English. I haven’t tested other languages yet. I use iPhone 17e
