UX Basics: Align, distribute, pack

Apart from snap to grid, keyboard shortcuts for quickly organising a set of elements is table stakes in most canvas apps. Muse (now Allume) has a simple approach but quite useful. tldraw has a fantastic little command called Pack which aligns with a minimum default spacing.

Is this the same functionality as this, but instead on an upload triggered with a hotkey? https://visualos.featurebase.app/p/a-bunch-of-uploaded-images-should-align-automatically-instead-of

They are taking it a bit further than I am. You should divide into several issues: visually organising existing board content, batch import of elements from outside the app (which may not only be images), etc. I think they are right in that you have good potential for moodboarding and image collecting. But then you need to make sure your app can handle a large amount of images on one board and maintain the quality of the images and not cause the app to slow down.

Thats from tldraw which you can download as a desktop app called “tldraw Offline”. You can learn a lot from them on the balance of feature richness vs fast/minimal tool. Your great advantage is native integration which is one of the reasons I paid and believe in your project so much.
